Duties may include: preventing, identifying and eliminating sources of industrial pollutants; analyzing and testing air, water, soil, and other source samples to determine how best to clean and preserve the environment; preserving water supplies and reclaiming contaminated land and water; and monitoring weather and the impact petroleum exploration has on marine life in the offshore industry.
